sewing sanctuary courses

at the heart and soul of each course is gentle slow sewing that flows – while learning excellent techniques and methods for relaxed lifelong wellness sewing

Wellness Sewing

What is wellness sewing?  Creating that lost in the moment feeling when we sew, that lovely flowing feeling, tactile and the soothing sounds of the thread through the fabric, that gentle slow sewing.

Learning to love stitching, have a relaxing rather than an anxt filled experience is what it’s about.  As well as learning super sewing skills.  Delivered with kindness in a supportive friendly course.   We focus on sorting the niggly problems before they frustrate us into giving up.

We keep your stitching why at the forefront,  each project, each course is a step closer to you achieving your stitching goals, and enjoying the stitching journey along the way.

We keep your stitching why in focus, each project, each course is a step closer to you achieving your stitching goals, and enjoying the stitching journey along the way.

What is your stitching why?

After the beginner course…

oh the places you’ll go in stitches

With these few key skills learned on the course you will have a creative door opened, gaining confidence to go on new creative adventures.

Here are a few of the many projects that will be possible for you to go on to after the course… and on the course we give you more inspiration.

Stitching frustrations are now eased, lack of confidence is turning around and we are building confidence every day, overcoming the challenges with the skills we have learned.

Sometimes we started project after project but couldn’t seem to get that peaceful feeling when we sewed.  The tangles and scrunched up projects squeezed into the back of drawers is something most sewists have done.  We still have the odd stitching ‘oops’ project, but now it doesn’t get us down.

Stitching dreams really can come true

…is now your reality… on the course having learned how to stitch like that gentle Sunday afternoon mellow stitching with a beautiful project in your hands, steaming pot of tea, rhythmic stitching and rocking in your comfy rocking chair, lulling yourself peacefully with each stitch and creak on the floorboards.

Total relaxation and creative freedom.

Being present and at peace in the moment.

You learned how to create this stitching experience whether we have been sewing for ten days or ten years.

And to recreate this moment whatever circumstances we are in – on the train, coffee shop, waiting in the car for the kids.
