What’s happening?!
If you’ve asked that, I’m sure you are not alone. Post Pandemic anxiety is the new pandemic. Silent, stealthy and unseen. There is no Covid vaccine quick fix for this. Detangling of the mind’s fears that have slowly been tightening over the pandemic. Businesses have also had the rug pulled out, no one has all the answers. However we do hold cards that we know will help the situation.

How to Help when you feel helpless
Observing the challenges, how so many of us are putting on a brave face but struggling underneath, I would guess more of us have that feeling than acknowledge it.
So a collection of handmade gifts have been designed to address this. Soft ice breakers, conversation openers that acknowledge the feelings, and give a comforting virtual arm around the shoulder.
Also, I have read some really helpful stuff and want to share it with you. I have cherry picked a couple of the key points I read in The Priory website, you may find it useful in supporting yourself and your people. I am not an expert just sharing what has helped me.
Be Kind to Yourself
Acknowledging the feelings is the first step in dealing with them. It’s ok to feel uncertain, and anxious. Everyone is going through this incredibly challenging time.
We so often have high expectations of ourselves. On a rocky flight when oxygen masks are needed, our instinct is to help those next to us first. Yet, if we don’t put ours on first, and pass out, we cannot help others.
So take care of yourself. Acknowledge that it’s been tough. Whoever we are, we have experienced an incredibly turbulent time.
Be Kind to Your People
Acknowledging the feelings is the first step in dealing with them. It’s ok to feel uncertain, and anxious. Everyone is going through this incredibly challenging time. Loosening the pressure may seem counter intuitive to returning to full productivity. However adding more pressure to already heavily burdened individuals, who may be hiding their anxieties may be a recipe for disaster.
Talking is essential. No stigma around the anxieties. Opening the door to honest dialogue, acknowledging that it will take time to get back to a feeling of ‘normality’, and it may not be a straight road.
Kind & Thoughtful Gifts
Feeling cared for helps us feel supported and our need to relax being acknowledged. Making it personal, we can help you with your message if you need help with the words and it will be handwritten too, which feels even more special.
