Machine Washable Makeup Bag
Making your own makeup bag, the beauty of it is you decide the fabrics and so can make a bag that suits your needs perfectly. If you use a lot of dark makeups, then use a dark grey or similar lining in a strong linen or cotton fabric. Some fabric suggestions below. Select fabrics that are good quality, and naturals.
Dark marks from brushes and make up on the bag, soak in warm soapy water and gently rub the stained areas to loosen the marks before washing.
CUSTOM Pockets for brushes, narrow & tall beauty items
The first set of pockets is for slim, narrow and flat items – brushes, pencils, small palettes. See the tutorial on YouTube for how to achieve these custom very easily. With each section custom made to fit the items you want to store. Place the items on top of the pocket to decide on the layout The great thing about this is you can make the pockets in the order of use, so you don’t have to search for the next item, it’s next in line.
Make up and brushes organiser is easy to design and sew into the lining of your beauty bag, in the lining of the Hebe Tote bag.
CUSTOM Pocket loops for larger bottles & tubes beauty items
The second set of pockets are in fact loops. Slide in larger bottles and larger tubes beauty products. The pattern pieces for the pocket should be doubled in length. The pocket loops have been designed without a base, so the bottles sit on the bottom of the tote bag. See the tutorial on YouTube for how to achieve these custom loops very easily. Each custom loop it is made to fit the items you want to store. The great thing about this is you can make the pockets in the order of use, so you don’t have to search for the next item, it’s next in line.
