Heightened Stress Levels and Can’t Switch Off
Don’t down play it, or compare individuals resilience and capacity. Support is needed, as difficult as this may feel you can do it for those around you. Seriously, our whole life infrastructure was shaken, globally, is it any wonder that we are feeling unsure. Also the lack of control that we are subject to has exacerbated this feeling of insecurity.
For one thing, everyone has a different take on the mask wearing and what staying safe means. Daily living friction and again more suppressed inner anxt as expressing an opinion in public appears to be like lighting the touch paper, for both sides of the fence.
There is help and advice, many excellent articles from experts across the globe. So there will be advice for your local situation. I have listed a few of the articles from well respected organisations below.
Show support – Wellbeing Corporate Gifts
Feeling heard and supported is critical in regaining confidence to return to the office, wherever we are on the spectrum. Acknowledging that this is a challenging time will be so well received. We want to be strong but are feeling very unsure. Open the dialogue through a gift that shows recognition of the challenge.
Mask it magnificent
The practical items that can help each day. Feminine and masculine options. For getting to the office, a mask that feels lovely and reassuringly well made, is comfortable and has all the bells and whistles:
* Replaceable nose bridge wire
* Filter pocket
* Double layer Liberty Tana Lawn (super soft and fine fabric)
* Ear toggle adjusters for the perfect fit.
Make time to recharge
And along with it, the other key factor to successful return to the office is to maintain feeling in control, calm and relaxed. Taking a moment during a hectic day to recentre. As most offices don’t have sleep pods for a moment of privacy to do a 10 minute time-out to reboot, these lavender eye pillows are a fab way to switch off. They can be used by sitting back in your office chair, or on a sofa, eyes closed and a few minutes of deep breathing. People around give you space when they see a lavender eye pillow, it’s amazing, where they may still speak to you if you just close your eyes.
And the calming scent of lavender plus the eye black out is brilliantly rejuvenating.
These come with a separate pillow case that can be washed, and the pillow itself is made from organic Hampton cotton, from a Yorkshire mill. And by no means least, beautiful lavender buds which are of beautiful quality and heavily scented.

This is an opportunity, if we have glass half full thinking. Maximising the benefits, going with the flow, supporting this new way of working that will in the long-run keep employees happier and by default increase productivity. I guess change can be challenging, but challenge can be inspiring and innovating. It’s not the change that is the problem, it’s our adaptability that is the key to success.
Although it’s unlikely that the pace or intensity of work will change much anytime soon, there’s a growing body of research that suggests certain types of development activities can effectively build the capacity for resilience. Don’t fight it, embrace it. Support your people.
