Wellness benefits through sewing is my thing, every project must have this at the heart. This project is particularly uncomplicated, once you have finished the first bag, you will be away – easily making these, getting into the rhythm and relaxing.

The small size is particularly good for a thoughtful small gift, a little bar of soap, a pair of socks, a lavender bag – without the gift getting lost in the bottom or a large bag. They sit cosily in this bag, it feels lovely to receive and the bag is as much a gift as the gift itself.

Materials needed
Fabric Selection
Organic lightweight cotton or natural fabric. Not too thick or stiff. Similar to a light quilting cotton, or a Robert Kaufman Kona Cotton. Plain fabrics or multiway print patterns.
Bag
- Small: Lining and outer 22.5cm wide x 60cm long.
- Medium/large: Lining and outer 30cm wide x 70cm long.
- Bias binding the width of the bag
Tools
- Sewing machine (straight stitch only)
- Sewing thread to match fabric
- Scissors
